I was approached to develop a new visual identity that effectively communicates the organization's mission and values. In addition, I created a comprehensive brand style guide to ensure consistency across all visual communications.
Conducted research on the NYC Peace Corps Association's mission, history, and target audience. I also researched other nonprofits in the same space to get a sense of the visual landscape and to identify any opportunities for differentiation.
Based on my research, I developed several design concepts that explored different visual directions. I presented these concepts to the NYC Peace Corps Association team, and we worked together to refine the chosen concept.
Once we had a finalized concept, I created a full visual identity system, which included a logo, color palette, typography, and imagery guidelines. I also designed a brand style guide that outlined how the visual identity should be used across different mediums.
The visual brand guidelines included:
A refined color palette to align with their brand identity
Defined primary and secondary typefaces for a consistent look
Logo usage rules, including sizing, buffer space, and incorrect usage examples
Additional graphic design elements for print and digital materials
A custom icon package to enhance their social media and branding assets
This comprehensive guide established a clear framework for maintaining brand consistency across all communication channels. I delivered high-resolution assets for both digital and print use, helping streamline their branding efforts. The project is estimated to save them $4,212, enabling further internal development.
